The best Sunday in football, I mean Super Bowl XLVII, is coming up on February 3rd. This year the Baltimore Ravens face off against the San Francisco 49ers. With Super Bowl parties a must, make sure you have fabulous food to keep your guests happy (especially if the game isn’t going their way!). In case you haven’t yet, there’s still time to order your Super Bowl party invitations!
Here's a sneak peek at my Super Bowl invitations - aren't they cute?!
As for the food, we found a fun spin on a classic dip - football party dip! This appetizer is not only easy – it’s perfect football food!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
Guacamole
Nacho cheese
Salsa
Cherry tomatoes
Sour cream
1 piping bag
Tortilla chips
*amounts will vary based on the dish size
Assembling the dip is a cinch, here’s what you’ll need to do:
- In a rectangular baking dish, spread the guacamole into the center of the dish. Make sure to leave equal room at each end. (Creating the ‘field’ first helps keep the salsa and cheese from spreading.)
- To create the end zones, add the salsa on one end and the nacho cheese on the other.
- Next, add sour cream into a piping bag and pipe in the yard lines. This step can be tricky, so you may want to practice first!
- Create ‘players’ by adding in the a few cherry tomatoes around the field.
For rave reviews, make sure to jot down the recipe for guests on a cute recipe card.
