Time for another glimpse behind the scenes of our blog team... Today, we're chatting with Courtney, Invitation Consultants' Production Manager & Graphic Designer.
Q: Where do you find inspiration? Pinterest for hours! I also love magazines of all kinds. Not only for the content, but some magazines have really great typesetting, layouts and images that are great for inspiration! I always like to keep up with what other stationers and invitation companies are up to. And when all else fails, some time with the old sketch book or paintbrush usually gets the creativity flowing!
Q: What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own? Do boots count? I’m so happy it’s boot season again! I miss all the fun boots and coats that come along with the cold weather when I lived up north. I have a pair of black riding boots that I’ve had for about five years and I don’t think I’ll ever give them up.
Q: What colors are you crushing on right now? I seem to be drawn to magenta for some reason these days! And I love pairing it with turquoise or teal. Day to day, I’m definitely a white and grey kinda gal with some earthy neutrals thrown in. I SWEAR I don’t wear them all together!
Q: How would you describe your style? That’s a tough one. My fashion style is a is a pretty classic but on the edgy side. I like a little leopard print or a studded bracelet and I’m willing to take some risk (which admittedly don’t all work). At home, I like a mix of styles but most of all if has to be comfy. Throughout both, I like simple pieces that can be accessorized.
Q: What is your favorite part of your day? I’m on a roll with books right now so I look forward to getting into bed and reading at the end of it! Yes, some nights it’s more catching up on the DVR than reading but both are a great way to take your mind off the day.
Q: What are your must-read blogs or sites? I think I read food blogs more than anything else! The Armature Gourmet, Sweetapolita and Love & Lemons are a few I love. Camille Styles is great for pretty much everything and Oh Joy! is an all time favorite.
Q: Where would we find you on the weekend? My new favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings is walking to get coffee at Oxford Exchange with the husband. I also love a farmers market so any time there’s one in Hyde Park I’m there, or we venture over to St. Pete. Typically there’s a dinner or brunch out with friends and some shopping squeezed in there too!
