What is your favorite part about being a mom?
My favorite part of being a mom is getting to watch our son's personality and quirks develop. Getting to know him as a person instead of just an infant is a lot of fun. For example, he doesn't like sudden loud noises. He also thinks that the sound it makes when you click your tounge on the roof of your mouth is really funny. He loves technology and can pick out a real phone from a fake baby phone. He doesn't like to be cradled like a baby, because, obviously he's a big kid now ;)
How did you come up with the idea for your blog, Life As An Artistpreneur?
Life as an Artistpreneur evolved over years. I started blogging in 2007 and over the years I've scrapped and started over my blogs a few times. In 2008 I started a photography business (www.studio222photography.com) which has been my full time job ever since. I hit a wall where I wanted a space to share inspiring things, talk about things important to creatives and the self-employed artists, and also to share about more personal things without cluttering up my photography blog where clients go to see my recent photos and creative work. So, Life As An Artistpreneur was born.
We love hearing about baby names – how did you choose yours?
You can read all about how our son got his name in this post.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life from pre-mommyhood until now, who would you cast in the lead role? Who would play your leading man?
HAHA! I have no idea who would play me but can I have Ryan Gosling as my movie hubby? In fact, if Ryan Gosling playes my movie hubby can I just play myself? ;)
How do you find balance in your life?
I've given up trying to find balance. It's just not out there. Instead I find happiness in an unbalanced life. Sometimes I drink coffee at night and eat takeout three times a week. Sometimes I work all day. Sometimes I am a stay at home mom all day. I run at midnight. I send birthday cards a week late. But I'm present here today. That's life.
