Time for another glimpse behind the scenes of our blog team... Today, we're chatting with Reilly, Invitation Consultants' Creative Director!
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: Tunes! Blogs & definitely Pinterest! Did you guess Pinterest? I bet you all guessed Pinterest. Sometimes I give my Pinterest a makeover by resetting all the cover photos on my boards. I am sure no one notices, but it makes me happy to pay attention to those little details. I also love reading, and I love the English language. My excuse for watching (too much) television is that I love good writing and storytelling. Dumbledore (Harry Potter) said it best "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.”
Q: What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own?
A: I have a pair of bright blue, tie-dye leggins that I only wear at home. They’re my favorite, beyond measure. As far as ‘real’ clothes, I have a Kate Spade little black dress that has long sleeves that I adore because it’s comfortable, pitch black, and has pockets.
Q: What colors are you crushing on right now?
A: Is Jon Hamm a color? JK YOU GUYS. Pink and bright red, together - always. Also, coral and dark grey.
Q: How would you describe
your style?
A: I’m still trying to figure it out! I started working with the book Style Statement awhile ago, and I haven’t made it to the end yet! So far, I can tell I like things that are a little frivolous (in a simple way!). I like to have flowers on my desk or in my kitchen, and if I throw a party, the tableware will be as special as I can make it.
Q: What is your favorite part of your day?
A: Tough to narrow down! Probably walking in the door at the end of the day. My dog, Schmoopy, FREAKS OUT. She behaves as though she hasn’t seen me in years, and that I’m the most amazing sight she’s ever seen. There’s lots of running and jumping. This is every day too, it’s so reliable and so joyful.

Q: What are some of the songs in your “most played” list on your iPhone?
A: Recently, the Wallflowers because they’re reunited and released a new album – Glad all Over. Favorite tracks: "Reboot the Mission" and "Love is a Country." Outside of that, "Ho! Hey!" by The Lumineers, "Frankie’s Gun" by the Felice Brothers, "The Fixer" by Pearl Jam.
Q: What are your must-read blogs or sites?
A: The Everygirl, Cup of Jo, & Smart, Pretty & Awkward
Q: What’s your astrological sign, and do you think it describes you?
A: Scorpio- I don’t believe/follow that stuff, but I’ve been told it doesn’t describe me and that I am more like the sign that comes before mine - Libra.
Q: Where would we find you on the weekend?
A: Running very slowly at the gym with my best friend, cooking or baking, walking my dog, making tiny (sometimes big!) changes to my house, at a concert with my husband if we can find one, and enjoying a glass of wine or two.
