February 19th is Mardi Gras in New Orleans so unfortunately, there's not really time for me to plan a trip but I was inspired to do some Mardi Gras research! Did you know the Krewe of Bacchus has named Will Ferrell the God of Wine for the parade this year? This puts him in the company of Nicholas Cage, Elijah Wood, Hulk Kogan and a slew of other celebs that have carried the title in the past. There are many traditions like this one, that go along with the celebration of Mardi Gras, any many of them involve the food and drink of the celebration! New Orleans is known for some of the spiciest creole cooking and decadent sweets, and Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday is the perfect day to indulge!
