It seems to be the year of engagements around IC! A few weeks ago we got a peek at what Amy has in mind for her wedding palette! And to keep the planning fun going, here's what I have in mind so far...
After working on wedding invitations for over three years now and seeing the excitement of so many brides, I still can't believe that it's my turn to be a bride now! I learned very quickly that planning a wedding is one big test of your decisions making skills. What kind of venue do you want? Band or DJ? Seated meal or buffet? Big or small? Many of these I'm still struggling with, but one decisions that I'm pretty set on is the colors. Our venue is a classic, old Chicago room with a high glass ceiling, intricate iron work and beautiful gold details. Seeing as we'll be getting married in the fall and bright flower may not make sense, I fell in love with the idea of using more greenery than flowers in things like topiaries and garlands. So green became and easy choice and adding to that the black of the iron work and the gold of the detailing, we had a color palette that seems to be perfect for us and for the space. Seeing as when I was first asked what colors we were thinking I rambled off a list of about ten, I'm very happy with my narrowed down list! Now it's just a matter of bringing it to life! 11 months and counting...

I love the idea of the wreath on the bride's chair, and what a surprise it has your inital.
