Here in Tampa, Florida the weather is a bit chilly, but of course we are all slightly jealous of the beautiful winter wonderland occurring in the North. The winter time brings about a season of many celebrations and lots of happiness. So, what is a better way to celebrate the winter season than getting together with your co-workers for a party? This is a perfect time to put the work stress behind and enjoy the cheer.
Some of the most important components of a winter party are choosing the appropriate dress, deciding what type of delicious food to serve, picking out a festive play list, and of course deciding where to have a fire going to warm up all the guests as they mingle. Wintertime is the perfect excuse to send out a shimmering snowflake themed invitation to get your guests excited about a snowy season.
Food: It is always hard to have a formal dinner at an office gathering because everyone wants to mix and mingle rather than sit since they spend most of their time sitting at work. I believe the perfect way to serve the food is a buffet with different types of easy to eat foods and dips as the guests walk around. I recently attended a holiday party and there was the most amazing spinach and artichoke dip. It is a favorite of many, and will definitely be a huge hit. Southern Living has a delicious and easy recipe. Also, for dessert I am obsessed with the concept of a pie in a jar. Dessert is always so tempting, and most of the time I always overeat. So the pie in the jar gives you just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth without stuffing yourself.
Entertainment: Music is always a must at any type of get together. Pandora puts together the best playlists with any type of music. I recommend a nice festive station like Jazz Holidays radio, so there is music in the background, but it isn’t so loud so everyone can still talk without straining their voice.
Fire: Creating a cozy, festive environment is the key to a successful party. Target has a wide variety of pocket friendly fire pits. This diamond mesh fire pit is a classic fire pit that comes in a black finish. The warmth of the fire is sure to create that cozy environment.
I hope everyone has a great winter season, and happy party planning!
