The Fab*Blog team is so excited to welcome some of our amazing Customer Consultants to the Blog! Throughout the next few weeks, our Consultants will be sharing party themes with you inspired by the customers they speak with and assist on a daily basis! This post is from Ashley, Our Customer Team Leader who loves dishing about The Bachelorette:
Everyone has guilty pleasures, and one of mine is watching The Bachelorette on ABC every Monday night. I have been a fan of it and The Bachelor since before it was “cool” to go on the show already having a girlfriend. I love discussing the drama with the girls at work, and cracking up over the embarrassing things the contestants do (a tattoo of a shield guarding a heart and a rose….really?!) Ok so the show can be romantic, but mostly I think of it as fun. Therefore, I love the idea of throwing a “Bachelorette” themed party. You could theme a bridal shower around it for your super-fan friend, or it would even make a fun birthday party theme. Just be sure you’re equipped with these few effects that just scream “The Bachelorette”:
Roses: I love when the camera pans over to the rose - all alone on its shiny silver platter - and you can almost feel the tension in the room as you watch every guy staring at it from the corner of their eye. It’s obvious that the show’s mascot is the red rose; so have fun incorporating this pretty detail into every aspect of your party planning.Candles: Anyone who watches The Bachelorette has to wonder what the show’s budget for candles is. Be sure to set out some glimmering candles to really get into the bachelorette spirit. I’d advise not to go overboard (like the show does) – I can smell a fire hazard.
Fabulous Fashion: The Five Course Fashion Dress from ModCloth is the perfect little black cocktail dress and is totally what I would wear to a rose ceremony, if I were the Bachelorette. Or maybe I’d wear it to one of those romantic rooftop dinner dates over looking whichever amazing city we happen to be in. Either way, make sure you and your guests dress in true Bachelorette style. I love this oversized Red Rose Cabochon Ring that can be found on Etsy.
I can’t wait until I have a reason to throw a party, and I already have my theme. In the meantime, I’ll keep hanging out with Ali and her man crew every week, just waiting for the final rose. Does anyone else love to watch The Bachelorette’s shenanigans as much as I do?
