Mark Paul Gosselaar's recent stint on the Jimmy Fallon show was a dream come true for so many people. It brought back delicious memories of Bayside High School with dreamy Zach Morris, athletic AC Slater, nerdy Screech Powers, brainy Jesse Spano, girl-next-door Kelly Kapowski, fashionable Lisa Turtle, and good ol' Mr Belding and his unforgettable high-pitched laugh. It started to make me think of fabulous parties inspired by shows, movies, toys, and anything else that I could possibly think of as a blast from the past.
Here are just a few ideas that you can incorporate to make the perfect Saved By the Bell party:
1. Adorn your space with late '80s/'90s decor. Think bright colors and bold patterns such as zebra prints, or recreate your own vision of your favorite part of the Saved By the Bell set. Lockers, a wrestling rink, or the most popular after-school hangout The Max. Serve burgers, fries and shakes to make it truly authentic.
2. Tell all your pals to show up in costume. Come as a nerd equipped with a pocket protector, or sing "I'm so excited" in spandex aerobic gear. From cheerleaders to jocks, Bayside High School is chock-full of costumes that your guests can wear.
3. Have lots of games prepared, such as a SBTB trivia game or charades inspired by your favorite scene or character.
4. Make sure to fill your party with '90s music - a dance party is always sure to please. Teach everyone the hottest dance move, also known as "The Sprain." Casey Kasem sure did love it!
5. What's a party without a parting gift? Make sure everyone gets a friendship bracelet because everyone knows that "Buddy Bands" are a total smash with the Fashion Club.
With these helpful tips your Saved By the Bell party will beat out any Valley party.
Hope you enjoyed. Stay tuned for more Fabulous Flashbacks!
