Save-the-dates are possibly one of my favorite inventions. Nothing gets me more excited for a friend or family member's wedding like a friendly reminder. I especially find it convenient for the events that are being held out of town so that I can prepare myself well in advance.
Since the advent of the save-the-date (or SD) there have been many other uses birthed from this genius child. Now SD's are used for anything from Bar/Bat Mitzvah's to Holiday Parties and Anniversaries. Whatever the reason for the shindig, I find it not only useful but also a treasured keepsake once the event is over.
My favorite breed of the SD is the refrigerator magnet! Looking at my refrigerator just yesterday I found 3 SD's that resurfaced the fond memories made those nights. It also gives me great ideas for SD's in my future. So next time you are planning a special event of your own, give a second thought to our friend the SD...and you may just get magnetized!
I want your feedback! What was the coolest or craziest SD that you have encountered? Feel free to post your story.
