Okay people, I don't really want to bore you with my excitement, but I will anyway. When I was little, on the first day of October I would cut 24 strips of construction paper, form circles with them, and create a chain with a stapler. I would then pull one off everyday until my birthday. My mom affectionately called it my birthday month. This tradition stuck until about junior year of college. Now, I count down to my b-day in a more quiet, reserved kind of way. My birthday is one week before Halloween, so people are always willing to celebrate with me because they are in such a party mood anyway. This year, to celebrate I'm going on a mini road trip to Atlanta, Georgia where I will see the play Wicked at the Fox Theater. I'm pumped.
No need for invitations for my birthday this year, because it will be with just a few close friends... but that doesn't mean I don't have invites picked out! IF I were to have a party this year OR IF my husband decided throw me a surprise soiree... hintt hintttt... I would want to have a black, white, green and pink party. The signature cocktail would be an appletini. We would eat fajitas and dance to disco music. The invites would be in the color scheme and have a silhouette on them-- because silhouettes are adorable.
So, my question for you--- when is your b-day? What invite would you choose for your perfect party-- check out all of our birthday invitations! And, if you're feeling chatty, do you have any birthday traditions? Let me know & comment below!
