Warning: objects in post may be slighty sappier than they appear.
One year ago today, my hubby and I took the plunge. We got married in front of our closest family and friends knowing that our lives would never be the same. For the past year, we've had ups and downs and thousands of things have changed. The one thing that hasn't changed is the promise. The promise to share the remote control, the promise to always call to say hi when apart, the promise to take care of eachother- these have all remained. I can only imagine what it may be like to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. I admire those couples who make it to that milestone, and offer them my congratulations. And I leave you this mushy post with a diddy from a little movie called The Wedding Singer.
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you.
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growin old with you.
I'll miss you, kiss you, give you my coat when you are cold.
Need you, feed you, I'll even let you hold the remote control.
So let me do the dishes in the kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink.
Oh I could be the man to grow old with you.
I wanna grow old with you.
